Done the Welsh 3000s and Lakeland 3000s? Then how about a walking trip climbing the 9 highest mountains in Scotland.
There are 9 Munros in Scotland that are over 4000 feet. Conveniently they are all contained within 2 mountain ranges, 5 in the Cairngorms and 4 in the Ben Nevis range. This 4 day trip will climb them all. We spend 2 days in the Cairngorms climbing Cairn Gorm, Ben Macdui, then Braeriach, Cairn Toul and Sgor an Lochain Uaine (Angel's Peak). A morning is then spent travelling to Fort William, with an afternoon ascent of Aonach Mor and Beag. The final day will be spent climbing Carn Mor Dearg with a traverse along the CMD arete to the final summit, Ben Nevis.
The trip fee includes 4 nights accommodation (Private twin rooms in Youth Hostel in Aviemore, B and B twin or double room in Fort William), all guiding on the hill and travel between Aviemore and Fort William.
This is a tough trip - the second day in the Cairngorms often stretches to 10 - 12 hours or longer. As this day can finish so late a hot pasta based meal will be provided at the Youth Hostel when we return to avoid missing out on food that evening.
Discount for groups of 8 available.
