Classic Scottish Scrambles 2012
Introduction to Mountain Navigation
Guided Walking Days and Holidays
After a very successful weeks scrambling in May this year (Curved Ridge, Castle Ridge, Forcan Ridge, Liathach and An Teallach) in conditions ranging from bright sunshine in blue skies to big fluffy snowflakes falling, Ascents of Adventure is running scrambling trips to Scotland in May and October 2012.
Scrambling in Scotland is simply put, awesome. There's a fair amount of it to say the least. From the classic Aonach Eagach ridge in Glen Coe to the magnificent Curved Ridge on Buchaille Etive Mor - God's own pyramid as I overheard one Scotsman proclaim! From the towering sandstone ridges of Torridon to the mini-alpine like proportions of the Skye ridge. Join Ascents of Adventure in Scotland next May or October for a week of fantastic scrambling adventures. You never know, the sun may even shine too.
All Scottish courses include accomodation within the price (in bunkhouses, Youth Hostels or B and B's) as well as all instruction and travel for the duration of the course.
This course is entirely suitable for novice scramblers, but you'll need a good head for heights, be steady on your feet on exposed ground and be prepared for long days. Most of our days out start at sea level and climb the whole height of these mountains.
