From 1 March 2012 until 31 October 2012 I'll have a guided walk running every day in either the Lake District, Snowdonia or Scotland.
There'll be a flat rate of £20 per person per day and walks will range from the relatively gentle (Loughrigg Fell or Wansfell Pike for example) to hard (the Scafells from Langdale or the Fairfield Horseshoe for example). Here's the best bit, kiddies under 18 go free - this offer is intended for family groups and does not apply to school groups for example.
Some walks will stop for lunch at a convenient cafe or pub, others you'll need a packed lunch for.
Please contact me for details.
Alfred Wainwright produced a series of glorious hand written and drawn pictorial guides that lists 214 summits in the Lake District, chosen for their location and beauty. Join Ascents of Adventure for 5, 7 or 9 days of pure Wainwright walking. Some days will be long and cover a goodly number of miles (at a gentle pace though) and a fair bit of ascent - by the end of the 5 to 9 days we may have walked up 40 to 80 of the Wainwright hills (although I will never turn this holiday into a race to simply bag summits).
Luckily the Wainwrights are not necessarily the highest mountains in the National Park, so some days will feel easier on the legs than others.
A typical 5 day itinerary could be the Coniston Fells (7 summits), the Fairfield Horseshoe (8 summits) , the Kentmere Horseshoe (8 or 9 summits), North to South over Helvellyn (potentially 12 or more summits) and the 7 summits overlooking Basenthwaite Lake (a smaller and less frequented area).
Additional days could include the magnificent Wasdale to Honister (potentially 10 or more summits), a Langdale circuit (8 to 10 summits) or a split day walking up some of the lesser visited and smaller summits with a civilised pub lunch in between.
2 - 10 June 2012
30 June - 8 July 2012
4 - 12 August 2012
For 5 or 7 days pick the number of consecutive days between the dates advertised.

Join Ascents of Adventure on a guided walking holiday along the West Highland Way. For 2012 I am offering fully guided and supported group walking holidays on the West Highland Way. Maximum group size for all walking holidays will be 8 people.
The West Highland Way is a good choice for a first walking holiday. It is 95 miles long, starting from just north of Glasgow at the oft mis-pronounced Milngavie (Mullguy) and builds in grandeur to finish at the foot of Ben Nevis in Fort William. Following a series of old drovers tracks, crossing Rannoch Moor and climbing the Devils Staircase out of Glencoe, the West Highland Way is a superb way to see lots of Scottish scenery.
All walking holidays provide B and B accommodation (may be shared rooms and may include Youth Hostels and Bunkhouses) from the night before the walk starts and including the night of the last walking day. You will need to purchase your own lunches and evening meals. Extra luggage is transported to your next nights accommodation so you need only carry a fairly light rucksack each day and you will be accompanied along the entire route. I will lead all these holidays myself and do not sub contract. There will be more than enough time to introduce the mysterious art of navigation to those who may be interested.

The BIG Walk is a big ambitious guided walking holiday for those that might have a bit of extra time to spare and who'd like to see the best hillwalking that the Lake District, Snowdonia and Scotland have to offer. This 3 week walking holiday is based on 3 classic mountain rounds that are often attempted within 24 hours by fell runners. We'll take it at a slightly more leisurely pace! If you'd like to 1 or 2 sections of this walk please contact me for details.
Each round is within a mile or two 60 miles long with 28000 feet of ascent. The Paddy Buckley Round, based in Snowdonia, walks over 47 summits, the Bob Graham Round in the Lakes walks over 42 summits and the Charlie Ramsay Round based around the Mamores and Grey Corries walks over 24 summits. Do not be fooled by the fewer number of summits on the Ramsay Round, this is a hard 4 days on the Munros around Ben Nevis.
I will only be running 1 trip in 2012 for this walking holiday.
The BIG Walk will include 20 nights accommodation in either B and B's, Youth Hostels, Bunkhouses with 4 nights in tents or bothies. All lunches are included, transport within and between the 3 mountain areas and all guiding on the hill. You will need to purchase your own evening meals and souvenirs from the 3 areas!
This will be a walking trip of a lifetime and we''ll experience the mountains in sun and rain - it is unlikely that we'd get 3 consecutive weeks in the UK hills, even in June, without some rain. They'll be days where you'll be wishing they'd be over and days where you'll wish that they'll never end. You'll make friendships that will last a lifetime.
10 June 2012 - 30 June 2012
To save space listing a full route itinerary a quick search on the WWW will give info on these routes. The planned number of days walking would be 6 in Snowdonia, 5 in the Lake District and 4 in Scotland, with 2 days spent travelling and recuperating between areas.
