Rock
climbing is simply THE most fantastic sport in the universe, although I
might be very slightly biased of course!
The Lake District is considered to be the birthplace of modern rock climbing, thanks to WP Haskett Smith's famous and audacious soloing of Napes Needle in 1886. To climb in the Lake District is to follow in some famous climbing footsteps, and the Lakes is an ideal place for you to go rock climbing for the very first time or to develop existing skills.
Evocative route names inspire the imagination - A Dream of White Horses, Cenotaph Corner, Kipling Groove, The Bat, Little Chamonix.
As with all of my courses, I design rock climbing courses to suit individual clients: beginners' rock climbing, intermediate rock climbing, learning to lead, or guiding on some of the Lake District's most famous routes - the Lake District is an ideal playground for all of these. I also run improvised rescue courses for more experienced climbers who want to know what to do if things do go a teensy bit wrong.
On introductory rock climbing courses ALL specialist climbing equipment is provided - don't go out and buy expensive kit before you've even tried climbing.

The daily rate of £150 is for up to 3 people.
Rates for larger groups on request.
Improvised rescue
£150 per day for up to 4 people
